Why Switch to VOIP Phone System In Your Business?

As more and more businesses make the switch to VOIP phone system, you may be wondering if it is time for your business to make the switch. VOIP provides several benefits including cost savings and a myriad of upgraded functionalities.

VOIP enables both data and voice communications to run on a single network, reducing infrastructure costs greatly. Many businesses choose VoIP options because you avoid paying for a broadband connection and a telephone line.

Cost Effectiveness

VOIP offers increased value for money. Most businesses learn they can pay less or receive added features for the same price as their existing telephone system. Costs to add extra users and phone lines are usually less.

Mobility

With features like call forwarding and remote access, VOIP makes it easier for a mobile workforce or geographically distant offices to stay connected and collaborate. VOIP can be enabled for smartphones, allowing staff to make calls from their mobiles at no extra cost.

Improved Communications

With VOIP, you can choose how your phone rings and even where it rings. For example, you may decide that the first few rings will be forwarded to your office.

If it continues to ring, you can choose to send the call to a personal mobile device or computer if no one in the office is available. In other words, urgent calls do not have to be missed.

Functionality

In the age of connectivity and mobilisation, business happens everywhere, which means travel is a necessity. If you are not available at the office, you might be missing out on valuable opportunities for your business.

With a VoIP service, incoming calls are rerouted to your phone wherever you have it plugged to the network. This can be done on a cell phone as long as it’s connected to the internet. So, you can always answer business calls whether on a business trip or in an emergency. When switching to VoIP, long-distance calls and international calls are also free.

Scalability

Traditional telephone systems are typically static and unchanging. It is difficult and expensive to get such a system to grow and evolve along with your business. There is a lot of trouble and expense involved in adding extra phone lines to your office. That is not to mention how complicated things can get if you add new premises.

However, things are different with VoIP. It makes scaling far easier, freeing you up to take your firm to the next level. Either by expanding into multiple locations or adding new people to your team. As your service is available in the cloud, you can add or remove extra lines in your system whenever you need to. There is no need to purchase additional capacity when you do not need it.

Readily Available

VoIP solutions typically support soft clients, which means you can take calls to your business number from anywhere with a reliable data connection through a mobile or PC/Mac application. This means customers can contact you if the office is shut.

Expandable With Your Business

With traditional on-site business phone systems, you had to inform your provider of how many numbers and lines you would need in advance, so most of the time businesses were paying for numbers they did not need ready for if they took on new employees, or they overestimated how many numbers they need. With a cloud-based business phone system, a new user can be created and set-up within minutes.
